Every duckhouse has a pecking order which is established early on and then again if a new duck is introduced to the flock. This ritual can be quite vicious but they will very quickly settle down. You should not interfere unless one duck is being denied food or water. If this does happen, put out an extra food and water supply away from the primary source.

I just introduced a fully grown female pekin to my male and female. They are both pecking at her. She's lost heaps of feathers. Will she die. I've separated her through a fence. It's really stressful as I'm a new duck owner.

I've got a pair of Swedish black ducklings, I think they're about 5 weeks old now. I've had them indoors and when it's warm I take them outside while I clean their house. They also like to play in the tub daily. My question is now that the weather is warmer, with nighttime temps in upper 50's and 60's can they go outdoors to their new house?

What is the best way to stop a duck egg from developing? We would like to just have them to eat.

My duck has foxtail stickers in her nose. Yikes, can't get them all out. What can do? Worry about punctures inside her nose. A healing regime?

Can anyone tell me whether ducks are more or less destructive to the garden compared with chickens. My hens ruined my garden and ate every single blade of grass, do ducks do this as well. I’m seriously considering getting a pair of ducks but I just want to know what I’m letting myself in for haha
