Although the product is expensive we needed a secure environment and this provides it. We have a 1m extension and the chickens are now self sufficient. Being able to move the Eglu easily is a definite advantage.

I now have two large eglus, and they are totally wonderful. The design is brilliant, I clean mine out daily and it takes no time at all. I have all the neighbours saving me newspapers, and I hose down the perches. Mites are a thing of the past, there is nowhere to hide, and the chickens seem to love it too. I would not recommend anything else to anyone thinking of keeping chickens and I have kept chickens for over twenty years.

Absolutely love my cube. So easy to clean compared to my wooden coop, well ventilated, doesnt leak, red mite is no longer a problem, chickens love it!

The Cube is very well made and easy to assemble from the clear instructions provided. Having now had it for about one month it is also very easy to clean out and therefore makes this product perfect for keeping a few chickens in a garden environment.

So pleased with both the service and the product. Our garden is a little hilly and uneven, but no problem to the Cube. The chicken netting is also great and easy to put up. Thank you Omlet, still waiting for the eggs though, any day now!

The Purple Palace (as we call it) sits next to an older wooden chicken house. To begin with, Doreen and co (all rescued chickens) together with her consort Frodo ( who thought that all his Christmases had come at once :)) were a bit thoughtful about it. Then Doreen mastered the ladder, went in and laid an egg but still went to sleep in the old wooden home. Now they are all - with the exception of Frodo naturally - squeezing themselves into the PP not only to lay eggs but also for forty winks. PP is triumphant and the wooden house is looking rather mournful, alone with Frodo. We haven't the heart to chop her up for firewood......................................just yet.

This is a wonderful coup. Easy to move and easy to clean. It is well thought out, as are all the Omlet products and well made. Highly recommended.

I have two Eglu Cubes and an Eglu Go-up, all with extensions, plus a Walk-in Run. The Omlet chicken pens are excellent. Easy to assemble, easy to take apart or add to. Solid construction when in place, but also easy to move to fresh positions. The houses are extremely comfortable. Mine so far have been through very strong winds, heavy rain, very cold frosts (-7, -8!) - the chickens have been snug inside, with no moisture penetration and no condensation. They are very easy to clean, the trays slide out, litter replaced, floors wiped, reassembled, all in a matter of minutes with little effort at waist height. The nesting areas are appealing to the hens. Being in an area with many foxes, security is vitally important - the runs are themselves very fox-resistant with their strong mesh and extended “apron", but in addition, being able to shut the chickens in at night (from outside the house without disturbing chickens who have gone to bed) with-fox proof doors makes me able to sleep easy at night! The clear plastic covers for the pens are excellent in providing rain protection while letting in light. Omlet chicken runs are ideal for small flocks of chickens.

Pondered for a long time about the cost of the Cube but as I am a total novice hen keeper I decided to try and make my life easier and have the best. The cube is soooo easy to clean and very quick to do. I can imagine a yukky mess with a wooden house so I am pleased I made this choice. I have had problems with the ladder or should I say the hens have and I do think the ladder treads are spaced too far apart. My husband had to make a rustic wooden ladder for them and almost a hand rail so they could get in and out! My only other thought is the nesting box may be a little small. I have six hens and for some strange reason they all like to sleep in the nesting box one on top of the other, this was manageable when they were very young but now they have grown the last one or two end up looking in sorrowfully from the roosting side (have a bought retarded chickens?). My land is not level and the cube sits very well and the run also absorbs the angles, I have put the screw pegs on the edge which are essential for my situation. (the drill adaptor that comes with them is brilliant and makes the job easy) I am very pleased with my Omlet cube and although it is a large outlay initially I imagine it will last indefinitely with virtually no maintenance, as my Mother says 'you buy cheap you buy twice'!
